Niels Schrader is a concept-driven information designer with a fascination for numbers and data. He is founder of the Amsterdam-based design studio Mind Design and member of the advisory panel for the Creative Industries Fund NL. Schrader graduated in communication design at the University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf and further completed his academic studies in the master programme Design at the Sandberg Institute Amsterdam. Next to his design practice Schrader writes regularly for the design magazine Novum and Open! – Platform for Art, Culture & the Public Domain. He has lectured at various academies and universities in- and outside Europe and is since 2013 co-head of the Graphic Design department at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague.
